I find it hard to imagine that New Yorkers have a lot of problems with weeds. Weed, maybe.

I guess the farther away someone is from actual greenery, the more likely it is that they will spend lots of time reading about shrubs & compost heaps. Cf. the rise of Jamie Oliver et al. in a time where most people can’t even be bothered to peel their own potatoes…
