In den USA startet nächste Woche im Sender PBS eine neue Zeichentrickserie nach der Vorlage eines dort sehr bekannten Kinderbuchs. Interessant ist eine gewisse Ähnlichkeit (siehe Abb.) zwischen dem “mächtigsten Mann der Welt” und dem Helden der Geschichte, “Curious George”:
George lives to find new things to discover, touch, spill, and chew. Everything is new to George and worth investigating. Of course, in George’s hands — all four of them — investigation often leads to unintended consequences! (PBS)
The stories often consist of George getting into some form of trouble by being overly-curious, and the man with the yellow hat getting him out of it. George often learns a lesson from these adventures, which parallel the way young children learn about the world around them. (Wikipedia)
Wer weiß, vielleicht gibt es dann auch mal eine Folge namens “Curious George’s first preemtive Strike” – fraglich nur, wie ihn “The Man with the Yellow Hat” dann aus der Affäre zieht…
Als das Kinderbuch vom neugierigen Schorschi übrigens 1941 in England herauskam, wurde der Aff in “Zozo” umbenannt, um König George VI. nicht zu beleidigen – bei heutigen Machthabern ist das gottseidank nicht mehr nötig.
